Angela & David have been together for a little over three years, and two big pieces of their love story involve Foster Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. When we started planning for their session, I knew their Foster Park spring engagement photos would be absolutely perfect, because it would be in the very location where key pieces of their story took place.

In March 2020, Angela & David met on Bumble right around the time the pandemic started. They said that so many places were closed during that time, they decided to meet at Foster Park for their first date. They hit it off, and the rest was history.
But in December 2022, a funny situation with a friend pretending his car had broken down returned Angela and David back to Foster Park. David got down on one knee, with a Smirnoff Ice in hand (you’ll have to ask them about that!) and he asked Angela to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and they have been planning their July wedding ever since!
Angela and David will become husband and wife this summer with a wedding at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with their reception at Bergstaff Place. When I asked them what they are most looking forward to on their wedding day, they both said the reception! Getting to gather their family and friends in the same space to celebrate their marriage – what could be better than that?
With their wedding in a little over two months, we booked their engagement session right away, and I’m so excited to share their Foster Park spring engagement photos on the blog! Foster Park started their relationship, and it’s where their relationship truly took on a new adventure, from dating to marriage; I couldn’t have imagined a better location for their session! Besides, Foster Park is one of my favorite Fort Wayne photo locations, because there really are so many wonderful places to explore within a short walk!
We had the perfect weather for their photos, but a gorgeous evening usually makes for a busy park. Fortunately, we basically had all the good places to ourselves, because everyone was there to walk their dogs, play tennis, or play on the playground with their kids. We roamed around the park chasing the golden light, and their session accounted for almost all of those 5.1 miles I clocked on my Fitbit that day.
It was such a pleasure getting to finally meet Angela and David in person. These two have a lot of fun together, which was so apparent as it was hard to catch them without a smile on their faces the whole session. I was already so excited for their summer wedding, but meeting them and getting to hear more about their wedding day, I cannot wait to photograph your wedding photos!
Thanks for trusting me to be your wedding photographer; I’m honored, and I’m so excited for your wedding day! I cannot wait to share your full gallery with you very soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these previews from your Foster Park spring engagement photos!
