Becca and Logan welcomed their first child, a baby girl, to their family on January 23. Lennon was born with a full head of gorgeous dark hair, and her arrival was greatly welcomed after hours of natural labor for Becca. I always feel privileged when a family invites me into their home for their newborn’s session, but this Indianapolis newborn session was one that was even more special for me.

Becca and Logan had asked me to photograph their maternity session back in December to capture the sweet season of pregnancy. After knowing her for over 15 years – almost half of my life! – getting to be a part of the intimate moments and special seasons of their lives brings me such joy that they ask me to document these times for them.
After their maternity session, I was so excited to capture their in-home newborn session. Logan has done an incredible job pulling together beautiful decor for their home, and I’m always so impressed with his sense of style and taste in curating pieces for their space.
During newborn sessions, I ask about the birth story and love getting to hear parents share their different experiences, as not one single birth story is ever the same. Becca and Logan worked with Sacred Roots during their pregnancy, and I loved getting to hear how their experience was working with a midwife and doula to deliver Lennon. They were able to deliver and take Lennon home the same day, which I thought was so cool to be able to spend your first night with your new baby in the comfort of your own home.
Lennon was a champ during her entire session, and I loved that Becca and Logan were completely enamored with her. These are photos I know they will cherish for the rest of their lives, and I’m so thankful they allowed me to be a part of preserving these sweet moments.
Becca and Logan, thank you again for allowing me to be a part of such a beautiful season of your lives. I cannot wait to watch Lennon grow and you two grow into the amazing parents I know you’ll be.
