I kicked off my summer season with an amazing session with the Diener family! I’ve been photographing their family since 2016, and it’s been such a joy watching my friends’ family continue to grow. Their Kokomo Reservoir family session this year didn’t disappoint, with amazing lighting and a cooler summer evening for us to all enjoy.

We go to the reservoir every year for their family session, and it’s a great way to just document time. Returning to the same location year after year is like a growth chart within your home, where the location remains all so familiar, but you can see visibly how the children have continued to grow as the years have moved forward. It’s amazing to watch their littles grow and grow, in personality and features. Their oldest just finished kindergarten, and she was able to share her favorite moments, like cooking Fridays, and their youngest son was still a little stinker who tries to avoid smiling for the camera.
Like always, their family session was full of fun and candid moments, and I loved getting to capture all the sweetness of their session. We always sneak in a few photos of mom and dad, the two that started it all, and the kiddos picked a small bouquet for mom to hold for some of their couples’ photos.
