Indiana University Engagement Photos | Addie & Noah

Addie and Noah first met as college students at Indiana University in 2018. After having an instant connection to one another, their relationship continued to grow, and this fun-loving couple has been inseparable ever since.

Noah and Addie will become husband and wife in May 2024, and while I just cannot wait for their wedding at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne, I’m excited to share their Indiana University engagement photos!

In December 2022, Noah surprised Addie with a trip to Vail, Colorado. The night before they flew out for their trip, Noah told her that he also booked a photo session during their trip.

Addie shared that she started to become suspicious that Noah might propose during their trip. You see, Addie had always said her perfect engagement spot would be in a winter wonderland, and what better place than Vail, Colorado during December for a beautiful winter engagement! Add the surprise trip alongside the surprise photo session, and Addie had an idea she might come back from this trip with more than photos and memories.

With a ring in his hand, Noah asked Addie to marry him, and of course she said yes! Alongside planning their wedding, they started a new adventure as homeowners with their two dogs in tow.

The last few months have held amazing adventures, but nothing will top when they become husband and wife next year!

After meeting Addie and Noah via Zoom before they booked, I was so excited to finally meet them in person for this fall for their Indiana University engagement photos. I always encourage couples to choose a location for engagement photos that is meaningful, and Indiana University was the absolute perfect spot for Addie and Noah, since their story started there.

Addie told me to meet her and Noah at BuffaLouie’s, right across the street from the iconic Sample Gates. Since we both arrived so early, we snagged some burgers, wings, and fries before starting their session. I loved having a little extra time with them, hearing about their relationship and jobs. It became very clear that Addie and Noah were truly a perfect match, and we were in for an amazing session together.

On this perfect fall evening, we entered a busy campus, but we were able to find so many good locations, including spending some time in front of Sample Gates. Noah suggested we head out to Griffy Lake to finish their session, which is located within a nature preserve with Indiana University.

And let me tell you, this was seriously the best idea! Much to my surprise, some of the leaves had started to change right within the parking lot, so we took advantage of this gorgeous red tree before heading down to the lakefront.

As we wrapped up their session around sunset, we had a beautiful picturesque view of the sun setting on the lake and amazing light for some photos walking along the path by the water. By this point, Addie and Noah were absolute naturals in front of the camera, and I ended up shooting the most photos I’ve taken at an engagement session to date. Oops – sorry, not sorry.

Addie and Noah are just so excited to celebrate their love and commitment to each other with their family and friends at their wedding in just a few months, and I’m just so honored that they have chosen me to capture their joyous celebration!

Addie and Noah, congratulations! From a delightful dinner before your session to an amazing sunset and conversation, your photos are truly some of my favorites from this year, and I know your wedding photos will be even more amazing! Thank you for trusting me as your wedding photographer, and I cannot wait for your wedding at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne in just a few short months. In the meantime, I’m thrilled to share some previews from your Indiana University engagement photos!
