Foster Park Sunset Engagement Session | Emily & Conner

Living in Indiana, I find so much joy when spring finally makes its appearance with warmer weather and gorgeous flowering blooms. We were so fortunate to have amazing weather for Emily and Conner’s Foster Park sunset engagement session, capturing all the beautiful tulip blooms in the park and Emily and Conner’s love for one another.

Like a lot of love stories, Emily and Conner’s started with the help of a mutual friend. When Emily was working at Debrand, her coworker’s boyfriend just happened to be Conner’s roommate. The couple introduced them over three years ago, and they have been inseparable since.

They celebrated their three year anniversary in October, and two weeks later, Conner had a plan in place for an incredibly special proposal to Emily, with the help of both of their families.

Emily and Conner went on a hike with Emily’s family, and while they were on the hike, Conner’s mom was preparing a meal back at home for both of their families to celebrate their engagement. While they were walking together, Conner told Emily he wanted to talk to her.

At that moment, Emily noticed her sister had her phone out, ready to record the proposal. Much to her surprise, Conner asked Emily to marry him, and of course she said yes!

They went back to the house after the hike, and both families were together to enjoy a lovely meal and celebrate their engagement – the start of their next big adventure.

Getting to spend time with Emily and Conner during their engagement session was such a treat! These two are so sweet, and I enjoyed getting to chat and get to know them throughout our time together. Sometimes during sessions in trying to make conversation, I feel like I’m asking too many questions of my couple or I’m talking about myself too much. But Emily and Conner were not only quick to answer my questions but to ask me questions about myself, which was just really special.

At the start of the session, they let me know that they weren’t sure what to do, but I’ll tell you – their photos say otherwise. They are just a beautiful couple, and with the blooming flowers and gorgeous sunset, these Foster Park sunset engagement session photos will be ones they can truly treasure as they look back on this season of their lives.
