When Casey was searching for a photographer to capture a family session, a mutual friend of ours connected us, and I was so excited to get to plan this special session with her. Casey had the idea to do a siblings session with her four brothers and sister as a Christmas gift for their parents. With their dad owning a technology business in Indianapolis, we decided that an urban downtown Indianapolis family session would be the absolutely perfect location!

We started at their dad’s business, then walked down to the City Market on a super windy afternoon. The skies were a perfect overcast, and we had a blast getting to explore the downtown scene. They all still live around the area, which is a huge blessing, but their schedules made it hard for them to come together for the session. It was the weekend after Thanksgiving, so they told their parents they were going to Christmas shopping… but the surprise came Christmas morning when it was photos wrapped in the packages!
We had a ton of fun as we explored the city together. We laughed a lot as the wind would sweep through, tossing hair around, before we finally found a perfect spot where the wind was blocked by the tall buildings. We walked back to their dad’s office, and we were able to go up on the roof and grab some awesome shots with the skyline in the background as well as an awesome blue background.
I love getting to work with families for these types of sessions, because I know that these photos are ones that their parents will treasure forever. Thanks Fricker siblings for hanging out with me and for the boys putting up with my posing throughout the session! Hope you treasure the photos!
