Kristina and Clayton celebrated their engagement with their White River Canal engagement session in downtown Indianapolis. These two have been together for about three years now, and when Clayton popped the question, of course Kristina said yes!

Kristina and Clayton first met by chance. While the rest of Kristina’s immediate family were traveling in Russia to visit family, Kristina scrolled through an online dating app one night and Clayton’s profile photo with dogs stopped her. With Kristina located in Tampa, Florida, and Clayton in the Navy in Georgia, it seemed luck was on their side that they would find each other. He drove to meet her, and when he headed back home, Kristina followed him to Georgia to visit. The rest has been history ever since!
Kristina told me that when she was packing for a work training in Chicago, Clayton came in with a present for her. They enjoy watching Jeopardy together, and he had bought her a mug that said “I’d wager it all on you.” Inside the mug, he had placed a ring box with an engagement ring inside. They are planning their wedding to take place in July 2021 at Brown County Inn in Nashville, Indiana. I’m so excited to get to capture their wedding at this stunning venue!
I had so much fun at their engagement session! They had chosen the White River State Park and Military Park for their engagement session, and I loved how we could just walk between all the locations. It gave them a lot of flexibility to change outfits and have a couple different looks to their engagement photos. Military Park allows for more greenery with the mature trees, and White River State Park gave us more of an urban feel along with the water from the canal. These two loved the spots when they first started scouting for a location, and I was so excited to get to capture their engagement photos in a place they loved.
It didn’t take long into their session to realize how much these two love to just laugh together. Clayton could make Kristina laugh at any moment, and they love goofing around with each other. It was so easy to capture their love for one another as they were able to be naturally playful together, including blowing bubbles along the canal.
