The Lyons Family first booked me back in November, but I’ve known Allison since we were in middle school. We won’t even begin to calculate how LONG we have really known each other! But it was so fun to get to see her and meet her husband and her boys for their family session at Wildkat Creek Reservoir Park this summer.

We had been planning their session for weeks, when the weather forecast started to look like we were going to have yet another evening of rain here in Indiana. This past May and June has been filled with more rainy days than most years, making it difficult to get those scheduled sessions in. However, around the time for me to leave for their session, everything looked clear. The Lyons family arrived, and they did an incredible job with coordinating their outfits for their session.
Ollie – their youngest – was not into photos without mom and dad, so my mission for the rest of the session was to make sure we chased and tickled this boy until we got some genuine smiles! The oldest brother – Henry – did an incredible job with smiling – and donned that missing tooth like a champ!
As we continued with their session, the clouds really darkened up and moved in quickly. As I was stealing some time away with Allison and Adam for some couples photos, we realized those were just dark clouds but a heavy rain was making its way into the area. We wrapped up and said our goodbyes a little early, knowing we had a ton of amazing shots for their family session at Wildkat Creek.
I’m so excited to share all these sneak peeks, and I just might have to say this is my new favorite family session!
