On their fifth anniversary of their first date, Mindy and Shaun had the most amazing rustic wedding at Barn on Boundary! Their wedding day was filled with love and laughter from start to finish, and I am so excited that they are finally husband and wife!
Mindy has known Shaun’s family for years, and their paths had crossed a few times during those years. In 2015, Shaun’s dad and stepmom tried to set the two up, but after hanging out a few times, they continued on their separate paths. In 2016, she saw his family again at the lake and talked with Shaun’s sister. They connected over Facebook Messenger, and they had their first date with horseback riding in September 2016.
As soon as Mindy stepped into The Barn on Boundary for their venue tour, she told Shaun it was exactly where they should get married. They chose to use sunflowers throughout the décor with burgundy and burlap accents. With the gorgeous wood interior of the barn, it made for the perfect touch of rustic for their wedding day.
Mindy and Shaun shared their first look on the beautiful back patio of the venue, and Shaun’s face when he saw Mindy for the first time said it all. She looked absolutely stunning, in a gorgeous lace dress with a belt with rhinestone embellishments. We adventured through the property to some of their favorite spots, before coming back inside for them to relax before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place in the barn loft, with their friends and family in attendance. Mindy asked Pops, a close friend of hers, to walk her down the aisle. Both Mindy and Shaun were so full of joy as she walked toward them, and they kept their ceremony short and sweet to get to the celebration with their guests.
The reception area was filled with the amazing sunflower, burgundy, and burlap décor. They included a special touch to their table centerpieces – antlers. These antlers were almost all from deer that Shaun had hunted. I loved that they included this detail in their day, and we were able to use it to photograph their rings. This was neat, too, because Shaun’s ring included antler detailing on it, so it went perfectly with everything.
Mr. Mouse catered delicious barbecue, macaroni and cheese, cowboy beans, and green beans. After dinner, the party started and guests joined the couple on the dance floor. Some guests enjoyed the amazing back patio at the barn, with a beautiful fall evening as the sun set.
Mindy and Shaun’s wedding was absolutely perfect, and it was such an honor to be a part of this incredible day with the two of them. I wish you both nothing but love and happiness in the years to come! Enjoy your sneak peeks!
