As a family photographer, I’m honored to capture my clients’ families as they grow over the years. I first met the Ruby family last February, where their family session became even more special with the announcement they were expecting a baby in the fall. When Jenny contacted me this winter to schedule their family session for the spring, I was so excited to see how their oldest boy had grown and meet their new little guy.
We had originally planned their session for early April, but winter decided to extend later in Indiana, so we rescheduled for early May in hopes that the weather would be warmer. While I knew Jenny was initially disappointed, she told me she was thrilled we had waited because their little guy had learned how to sit up on his own in that time!
While it was super overcast all day long, the sun did come out and shine at the very end of our time together for a beautiful closing sunset. I let their son pick where we’d take their last set of photos for the night, and he chose this amazing view on the waterfront with the sunset gently cascading over the water behind them.
