Romer’s Catering Greenville Wedding | Sarah & Chan

Entering Sarah’s family home, there was a calming peace amidst the hustle of the wedding party preparing for the day. The bride – Sarah – was almost ready, only needing some finishing touches to her hair, and had already dressed in her gorgeous navy blue gown. In talking about the details for their Romer’s Catering Greenville Ohio wedding, Sarah had made it clear that their wedding day preparations would be relaxed and casual, which made me really excited.

Sometimes as brides, we can stress out that the getting ready parts of the day are so posed for photos that we can lose the excitement of preparing to see our groom for the first time. As Sarah and Chan prepared themselves in the same place, they both seemed so calm and excited for their beautiful day.

bride and groom portraits outside of bride's family home before Greenville, Ohio weddingSarah’s family is surrounded by farmland, and with such a gorgeous day, we were able to take advantage of the scenery for all of their portraits before the ceremony. Chan even asked if Sarah’s dad Roger could bring out the hay wagon again for some wedding party portraits.

As we wrapped up our time at their house, we headed off to their wedding ceremony at Romer’s Catering in Greenville, Ohio. As their guests entered the ceremony, Sarah and Chan asked them to take a photo of themselves and write a note to them. Then each guest was greeted by Sarah and Chan themselves, which was a lovely, unique personal touch.

Sarah’s brother Andrew officiated the wedding and led the couple through a lovely ceremony, where Sarah’s grandfather was asked to share a few words. Through tears, he shared a bit about his marriage and shared his hopes for Sarah and Chan’s relationship. It was truly touching, and it was definitely a memory these two will surely never forget.

I loved watching the two exchange glances with one another, smiling coyly at once another, throughout the ceremony. They even shared a few moments of laughter together, as well. At the end of the ceremony, it was obvious by Chan’s reaction that he was so thrilled to finally call Sarah his wife and he embraced her with a sweet kiss.

After the ceremony, the couple invited the kids to share in some dances before getting the rest of the reception festivities started. Seeing the dance moves these kids brought, it was obvious why they wanted them to get to be the first on the dance floor! Sarah and Chan shared their first dance, followed by Sarah and her father and Chan and his sister. The newlyweds cut their delicious wedding cake, and they shared in toasts from the maid of honor and best man.

After dinner, the dance floor opened up and the floor was constantly full! At receptions, oftentimes you’ll find lulls in the dancing, but Sarah and Chan have family and friends who love to move, and it was evident in all the amazing reception photos I was able to capture as they danced the night away celebrating the love these two share.

Sarah and Chan – thank you so much for the privilege of capturing your beautiful day. It was a joy to get to know you and your families and document the start of the next chapter of your love story. Best wishes and cheers to many years of happiness to come!
