On a gorgeous July evening, Tabitha & Mike wandered hand in hand along the waterway, stopping only for a sweet moment together. Their romantic downtown Indy canal session was one I had been looking forward to since Mike booked me. He asked if I’d be willing to do their photo session in downtown Indianapolis, and I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

While I’m a small town girl at heart, I do love the soul of downtown Indianapolis. You can always find something interesting and fun to do while you’re visiting, but my favorite place to hang out is in the quiet of the canal along the beautiful White River. There are so many sweet spots along the walkway, that it’s hard to get to them all during a single session.
Tabitha & Mike call downtown Indy home, living with the canal just steps from their residence. They even got married along the beautiful river, and of course we made sure to capture some shots to help them reminisce their wedding day only six years later. Tabitha & Mike had some favorite spots they wanted to make sure to use because they were meaningful to them as a couple, which I love doing.
Their interactions with one another throughout the session were precious. Mike was so attentive and sweet toward his bride, giving her sweet kisses across her nose and pulling her close. Tabitha looked absolutely beautiful in her sundress and hat on this warm July evening, but her pure joy of being with her husband made her look even more stunning.
From doing yoga poses in a cute little garden to hopping up cement wall to pose in front of the historical museum clock, these two were full of fun during our time together. I’ll let the rest of their images speak to their sweet love, fun spirits and adoration for one another.
