With Mollie and Tyler first met at Purdue University through the same campus ministry, it seemed only natural that we head back to West Lafayette for a Purdue University engagement session. While we walked through campus, it was beautiful hearing how they met, what spots they loved most and hearing how Tyler proposed as we stood under the bell tower on campus.

When I first met Mollie and Tyler for their wedding consultation, it felt more like grabbing a cup of coffee with old friends. One of the things I first appreciated about Mollie was her kind heart and willingness to ask questions about me – not just from a business perspective, but about how things are going and life outside of the business. Tyler and Mollie get along so well, and it’s really clear just in our short time together so far that Tyler makes her laugh so much.
Mollie and Tyler started their first date at Buffalo Wild Wings, because Tyler had a gift card (cue both of them laughing!). But the date continued well past dinner for a total of seven hours! They took visits to Celery Bog Nature Preserve right off campus during their dating relationship, so we made sure to include that in their engagement session as well. We had the most perfect lighting for their session as the sun began to set while we were heading into the preserve.
I loved hearing the story about Mollie’s engagement ring, which had belonged to her great-grandmother. When Tyler went to Mollie’s parents to ask for her hand in marriage, Mollie’s mom knew exactly why he was coming and had the ring ready to give to him. I love that Mollie will be carrying a piece of her family history with her into her marriage with Tyler; it’s such a beautiful sentiment!
These two will be tying the knot on Leap Day next February, and I cannot wait to capture it! It will be such a fun day filled with a beautiful downtown Indianapolis reception.
