Megan & Kyle started dating five years ago while attending Oregon State University, and they have been madly in love ever since. When I called Megan to plan their Issaquah WA engagement session, we just connected so well that I knew this session had to happen. I mean… she and Kyle love ice cream cake, margaritas, and hanging out on their couch in the evenings. How can they get any more perfect than that?!

I let Megan & Kyle choose their engagement session location, but I told them to come ready to be affectionate in front of the camera. Megan shared that they can be a bit awkward for photos, but they totally killed this session and were ready to do any poses I asked of them!
We started their session at Issaquah Depot Museum, which was a really cool train museum. They have a few trains sitting on the tracks and a little train station that was adorable for photos. We had the most perfect weather and sunset that evening, making for amazing light for their session.
We took a quick drive over to Lake Sammamish State Park for a change in scenery with the beach and gorgeous greenery to wrap up their session. The wind whipped around on the shoreline, making for some beautiful photos on the beach at sunset.
One of my favorite parts of the session was when I asked Kyle if he felt comfortable dipping Megan. That’s when she shared a story from college where they were paired up as dancing partners for this performance their sorority and fraternity did, and they would have to practice after Kyle’s rowing practices. One night, they were practicing, and being so tired and sore, Kyle threw her up in the air and nearly dropped her. But Kyle assured me that he has never let her fall, and as I got to know them more during the session, that statement said something so beautiful about their relationship.
We had such a fun time, and we have already talked about all their wedding planning. They have their eye on an amazing venue, and I can’t wait to hear more about their day as they start planning!
