With Cassie and Dan due with baby Lily right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were not quite sure what her Fort Wayne newborn session might look like when she finally made her arrival. But everything worked out perfectly so that we could photograph her session right at 13 days old, and she was an absolute sweetheart to meet!

I first met mom and dad – Cassie and Dan – when I photographed their Charley Creek Inn wedding in Wabash in 2o18. These two are such a sweet couple, and I absolutely love how Dan has always shown such care and love toward Cassie. It’s very clear that he treasures her, and I have enjoyed growing in friendship with the two of them since their wedding planning days. I absolutely love getting to grow these amazing relationships with clients who become friends; it allows me to continue capturing such beautiful moments throughout their lives. I have loved getting to capture their engagement season, wedding day, and now the birth of their first baby Lily!
Cassie did an incredible job picking out some neutral outfits and bows for Lily, which really coordinated with their other home decor. They have created such a warm and inviting home, including a perfectly designed nursery for their sweet girl.
Lily was so easy to please, and thinking back, I don’t know if she cried even one time during her session! She was content to get swaddled up, wrapped up in a new outfit, or be held by mom and dad. It was fun to get to watch Cassie and Dan love on her, and I loved Dan’s shirt that read Girl Dad.
Cassie and Dan, thank you so much for trusting me with yet another milestone in your lives together. It is an honor and privilege to get to capture these sweet moments for you, and I can’t wait to watch Lily grow up over the years in your family. Enjoy the sneak peeks!
