Vendor Spotlight: Legacy Barn in Kokomo, Indiana

As a newly engaged couple, choosing your venue becomes one of the very first decisions you will make in your wedding planning. Their wedding packages include the ability to have your wedding rehearsal, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception all in one spot, ultimately making it super convenient for you and your guests to be able to fully enjoy the day. I love that their top wedding package allows couples to return to the barn on Sunday morning to enjoy brunch with their families while they open their wedding gifts. You can truly enjoy the special weekend at Legacy Barn without having to worry about logistics for all the different locations for your festivities.

As a photographer, some of my favorite parts of photographing weddings at Legacy Barn are the beautiful, mature trees that they have on the property, which allow the sunset to perfectly light the outdoor spaces as the reception kicks off. I always take my couples out for sunset portraits during the reception because the light is always so good at that time and you and your spouse can take a moment to soak everything in. I love taking my couples out to the tree lines for some final portraits, and the photos we get cannot be matched! 

The venue also offers two spaces for both bride and groom to get ready on location. Bridal suite is fully customized with mirrors and counter space, cushioned chairs, climate controlled, and lots of outlets for you to bring your hair and makeup artists to you. Groom’s Quarters is in the original bullpen on site, with a patio/cigar lounge for the groom and his wedding party to enjoy. 

Legacy Barn offers the flexibility for couples to choose to get married indoors or outdoors, with most couples opting to get married under the Old Sycamore tree on the property. This makes for some stunning photos as your wedding party leads you to the altar from the barn, where you finally get to marry your best friend.

One of my favorite meals I’ve enjoyed at Legacy Barn with my couples was the taco and nacho bar. They had all the fixings available for guests to build their own tacos or nachos. It makes meeting your guests’ dietary needs super easy, and it keeps everyone happy with choices to customize their meal! 

“Our exclusive catering company provides a private catering experience to create their perfect wedding menu with an incredible food and beverage experience,” Wyatt said.

Another perk that is offered to Legacy Barn couples is the access to The Local BBQ Food Truck for your rehearsal dinner and your reception! With the food truck located on site, your guests can grab some late night snacks to refuel before continuing to dance the night away at your reception. 

Mary Kate and the Legacy Barn team take care of one of the biggest tasks in the wedding planning process: reception setup! They provide all the tables, chairs, and linens for up to 250 guests and for rehearsal dinners with up to 50 guests. They will take care of setup and teardown of tables and chairs, and they work closely with couples to create a floor plan for the barn that you love. Within the barn, they offer a dedicated bar area for serving your favorite beer, wine, and liquor, along with tons of decorations you can use free of charge for your wedding.
