Lauren and Aaron’s golden wedding at Montage in Indianapolis has left me absolutely speechless. As a wedding photographer, I love getting to work with and serve my clients through their entire wedding planning journey, but there was just something so different about working with Lauren and Aaron. On their wedding day, I found myself thinking that the time was flying by and I just wanted it to slow down because it was such a perfect, amazing day… all thanks to these two incredible humans.

Lauren and Aaron first met in January 2019 after being set up by Aaron’s aunt. They went for drinks at Liberty Bar in Mass Ave (where we did some of their engagement photos), and after having an incredible time, the rest is history. What I love about these two is how much joy they share when they are together. Lauren has the sweetest giggles when she is with Aaron, and I just know they spread that love and joy with anyone they come in contact.
Their wedding day was no different. From the moment we stepped foot in the bridal suite at the beginning of the day, Lauren and their families were so welcoming. Lauren slipped on her dress, and the happiness that radiated from her finally seeing herself as a bride was such a joy to be a part of.
While the weather chose not to cooperate for an outdoor ceremony, I don’t think I saw a single moment of the entire wedding day where either Lauren or Aaron were stressed or worried about a thing. Their focus was on finally marrying the love of their life and enjoying the time they had together with their friends and family. The rain finally let up, and we were able to walk around the gardens at The Montage where they were planning to originally have their ceremony. It made for the most stunning portraits!
Lauren walked down the aisle with both her mom and dad, and it was hard to contain the tears from their sweet ceremony. Lauren’s youth pastor officiated, so the ceremony was the perfect balance of sweet and funny. Their siblings made up the entire wedding party, which made the day even more special. They may have turned the toasts into a bit of a roast, but both Lauren’s brothers and Aaron’s siblings ended the speeches with such sweet words that left guests in tears.
One of my favorite parts of the reception was the live entertainment. I loved that they hired Bluewater Kings Band to keep the dance floor bumping, and that they did! The floor was packed, and the guests had a blast dancing the night away.
Lauren and Aaron, I can’t say enough about how amazing it was to be a part of such a remarkable day. I’m honored you chose me to photograph your special day, and I felt like such a part of the family as you joined in your union. Here’s to a life full of adventures, laughter, and love!
