One of my favorite parts of working with my clients is the opportunity to watch and document their families grow. This time last year, I captured Ephraim’s age 3 portraits along with some family shots. We explored a park for their Noblesville family session, and I thought that we could never top that session with all the stunning family and lifestyle shots we had.
But I was so wrong. This family session takes the cake.
When Leslie first contacted me about their summer session, she asked if it would be possible to use their home – specifically, their backyard – to take their portraits this year. I couldn’t have said yes more quickly. Lifestyle sessions, where families can let loose and just be themselves, are some of my favorites ever.
Since I saw the Kuligs last year, they have grown by one – Asher – who had only existed in this world one week when we shot this beautiful backyard family session. And when I say backyard, I mean literally, we walked out the Kuligs’ back door and were welcomed by beautiful greenery and fantastic light as the sun began to set. I imagine their backyard will host many more sessions as their family continues to grow up, because it’s just the perfect location.
Camille loved to run around, play and dance around the backyard. Ephraim was so willing to talk with me, care for his sister and baby brother, and to smile on demand for the camera. It’s crazy to see just how much they have grown since last year’s session. Leslie and Scott have raised some remarkable and beautiful children, and I can’t wait to continue capturing this amazing family as they grow up.
