After a year of wedded bliss, Megan and Zach celebrated an amazing first year of marriage, love, and laughter during their anniversary session at Holcomb Gardens. A year ago, I captured their perfect fall wedding at Community Life Center, where we had a gorgeous day, tons of laughter, and an intimate exchange of vows between these two.

With my wedding clients, I love getting to celebrate their anniversary a year later, but I also just love getting to catch up with them and hear about how their first year of marriage has been. For Megan and Zach, they were so excited about their upcoming trip to New York City to commemorate their anniversary. It was their first big trip during their marriage, and they shared all the awesome things they had planned for their quick weekend getaway.
In Megan’s typical style, they incorporated her favorite color of rainbow and her dress was beautifully decorated with the magical mouse, representing her love for Disney.
We started planning the session, and Megan suggested Holcomb Gardens on Butler University’s campus. I hadn’t shot any session there before, but I had seen other photographer’s work there, so I was excited when she asked to go there. Fall had just started to turn the trees, but we had the most gorgeous sunset that evening, as we wrapped up our time together.
It was such a blast getting to hang out with these two again, celebrate their love, and hear about their lives since we were last celebrating at their wedding. I’m so grateful they chose me to capture this milestone, and I cannot wait to celebrate many more with them in the future!
