Getting to tell a couple’s love story is one of the best jobs in the world, and I’m so excited to finally get to share Madison & Andrew’s story. These two were so laid back and up for any adventure, so we met for their engagement session at Foster Park in Fort Wayne and explored a new location together.
Both Madison and Andrew attend Purdue University in Fort Wayne; in fact, they both received the same scholarship, so throughout their years of school, they have been in the same activities together.
Six months into their schooling, Andrew asked Madison on a date. He had remembered a song she liked, so he took her to her church and played the song for her on his guitar.
In late July, Andrew took Madison to a Vietnamese restaurant, and she shared that this kept her totally surprised by the proposal… Andrew said that he had to think of somewhere to go that wouldn’t make her think he was going to propose. Then Andrew took Madison back to her church where he asked her to be his wife. As a surprise for her, Andrew had also invited their family and friends to the church for a mini-engagement party!
Shooting their engagement session in the city where they met, grew their relationship, and were engaged was a beautiful way to capture their encompassing love story.
Much like the rest of the late summer, we had trouble avoiding all the mosquitoes that desperately tried to devour us alive… but we had a great time exploring and laughing together, as I got to know the two of them.
