Sarah and Michael recently traveled from Connecticut to visit family in Indiana, which made it the perfect time for us to capture their Fort Wayne engagement session at Headwaters Park. These two are absolutely adorable, and I had such a blast capturing this season of life for them.
Sarah and Michael found each other through a dating app, and they first met when Michael traveled down from Baltimore to have coffee with Sarah a little over 4 years ago.
Michael proposed in January, and of course Sarah said yes! Their plans for their wedding day revolved around family. Their family is so important to them, and they want to be able to share the day with as many of them as possible.
Sarah is just such a lovely soul, and Michael truly brings out the best in her. The two of them together makes for a dynamite duo, and I had so much fun getting to know them and laughing with them. We had met on Zoom back in January, and my cheeks hurt after we ended our call from smiling so much. They are truly so joyful!
As I was driving to Fort Wayne for their session, rain started to fall while I was on the interstate. I called Sarah because the radar was showing spotty showers during the entire time we were planning to photograph their session. She was totally on board for some rainy portraits if need be, since the forecast for the rest of their weekend stay didn’t look any better.
When we first arrived, the rain had just started, but by the time we were ready to start, the rain cleared and the sun appeared from behind the clouds. We even had a little golden hour light! The rain did pop back out for a few minutes, but it gave us a chance to get some sweet portraits under the bubble umbrella — always a favorite!
This session was truly a favorite! It was so fun getting to meet Sarah and Michael, and it was an honor for them to trust me with their Fort Wayne engagement session at Headwaters Park. I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks!
