Cassie & Dan met each other through an online dating website, and they both quickly fell in love. Seven months later, Dan planned a surprise Disney World proposal for Cassie during their vacation. But he couldn’t wait any longer to ask her to be his wife, and four days after buying the ring, Dan asked Cassie to be his wife. This weekend, we captured their Fort Wayne botanical garden engagement session, and it was absolutely perfect!
I first met these two in Cassie’s hometown of Wabash, where they will tie the knot in September. Talking with them was effortless, and I remember leaving our time together with my cheeks hurting from laughing along with them. Cassie has been effortlessly rocking the wedding planning, along with her full-time job as a nurse and going to school to become a nurse practitioner. While Cassie and Dan do live apart, they get to spend a lot of evenings together with Cassie working at a hospital near the school where Dan teaches.
My favorite part about planning their engagement session was that Cassie & Dan were open and willing to go to whatever location would provide amazing photographs. Out of the options I suggested, they chose Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory in Fort Wayne, which turned out to be the perfect choice for this cold, windy April afternoon.
Together these two shared the most tender touches, adoring looks and biggest grins, as they walked hand in hand through the gardens.
I enjoyed hanging out with these two for the afternoon, and I’m so excited to share my favorites from their engagement session. Cassie & Dan, I am so excited to photograph your Wabash wedding in September, and I can’t wait to celebrate your marriage!
