With less than a year to go until their big day, Geisha and Jason met me a few days after fall officially started for their Fort Wayne sunset engagement session at Headwaters Park. These two love taking adventures together, so we embraced it by checking out a park new to them; I knew it would be the perfect spot for that gorgeous sunset glow during their session, and we were not disappointed.

Geisha and Jason’s love story began through a mutual friend at work five years ago. Jason had mentioned he would be attending a wedding of a childhood friend, and before he had the chance to invite her, Geisha told him she wanted to go since she hadn’t been to a wedding in the States before. Fast forward a few years during a trip to Niagara Falls, Jason popped the question and asked Geisha to be his wife. After her initial surprise, she said to him, “Of course, why not? What took you so long?” They celebrated with a dinner following at Rainforest Cafe before sharing the good news with their friends and family.
I have enjoyed getting to spend time with Geisha and Jason over the last few months. They will be getting married in Fort Wayne in August 2020, and I couldn’t be more excited for the two of them. We had a blast with their engagement session, and Geisha looked absolutely stunning. They did a great job coordinating their outfits, and they pulled out all the stops to make it a session that was unique to the two of them. I had a blast getting to watch these two interact together, but mostly laugh and laugh together. I loved hearing Geisha say, “My cheeks… they hurt from smiling so much!” It wasn’t just from smiling for the camera; it’s clear that Jason makes her smile, and that’s what good marriages are all about!
While Geisha didn’t realize it five years ago, Jason knew someday she would be his wife and in just a few short months, they will be officially husband and wife!
