Even though the leaves hadn’t begun to show themselves in all of their fall foliage glory, Danielle + Matt’s engagement session day greeted us with gorgeous sunshine to warm us on a windy, chilly day. With them both living in Kokomo and getting married there next fall, we planned an amazing Kokomo engagement session for the two of them.

These two first met through mutual friends, and in July, Matt surprised Danielle by asking her to marry him on their trip to French Lick. Of course, she said yes, and they are planning an amazing wedding for next fall.
I was so excited when Danielle first reached out to book me as their wedding photographer, because I have known her for so long. We go way back to high school days, so it’s incredible to see her with Matt and being so stinking happy together. It’s been a treat to get to watch their relationship grow from a distance, and it’s so fun to get to be a part of this next chapter.
We started their session in downtown Kokomo, to capture some of the urban brick landscape, and Danielle and Matt started in their dressier outfits. After walking around downtown a while, we decided to get them changed into their more comfortable outfits at their house and capture some photos with their beautiful pup, Lola. She was so excited for her photos and to celebrate that Mom and Dad are getting married in a year!
After getting warmed up, we headed out to one of my favorite parks in Kokomo, and found some awesome trails to explore together. I had a great time with these two, talking and laughing, and I’m so looking forward to their wedding in October!
