What a treat to get to capture the Casslers’ Coxhall Gardens family session this summer! It’s hard to believe that Cambrie is a year old now (check out her newborn session!), but I was so excited to get to celebrate her turning one with a family session and cake smash. While Cohen and Cordelia didn’t really want anything to do with the session, we were able to convince them to grab a couple photos, while Cambrie was a little ham in front of the lens!

I’ve known Cristen now for 14 years – which is mindblowing to me! It’s been so fun to watch her and Andy’s marriage grow into bringing these three little ones into the world, and it was truly an honor to capture such special photos for them. The whole family was styling, with Cordelia and Cambrie wearing matching dresses. The lighting at Coxhall Gardens was absolutely dreamy. I hadn’t shot in that location before, but I had been dreaming of it after seeing other photographers post images taken there. It definitely exceeded my expectations!
It was good to catch up with them, and I loved that we wrapped up the session with Cambrie’s cake smash. After she ate some icing, we had to enjoy some of the delicious cake and I couldn’t resist having a small piece, too! Here’s to another year of love and laughter for the Casslers, and I hope to see you all very soon!
