Photographing newborns in the place that they will call home as they grow up will just never get old for me. This lifestyle newborn session was a little more special for me, as it was for my Bible study leader from my freshman year of college at Ball State! I’ve known Cristen and Andy for 13 years now, so I was completely honored and blessed to be asked to photograph Cambrie’s newborn session as their Westfield newborn photographer.

The family moved to their new home at the end of February, and even with teaching and expecting a new baby, Cristen and Andy did an amazing job of making their house look absolutely beautiful. Cambrie’s nursery was a dream to photograph in with the gorgeous floral wallpaper they placed behind the crib.
Cristen and Andy continued with their tradition of naming their child with an uncommon C name, and Cambrie seems so fitting for this little one. I loved Andy’s explanation of the meaning behind Cambrie’s name: “Cambrie Joy’s name is a glorious reminder of the joyous salvation available to all who call on the name of Jesus, trusting that the Lord God is their strength, song, and salvation.”
Getting to photograph this new family of five was truly a joy. The other two littles gave us tons of opportunities for laughter and joy, as they shared their beautiful personalities, and Cambrie was just as sweet as could be. It was also a treat to get to capture some of their first photos in their new home, where their littles will continue to grow into the people God has designed them to be.
Cristen and Andy, thank you so much for choosing me to document such a precious time in your lives. It is truly an honor! I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks, and soak up every minute of this new time with Cambrie!
